Something to Smile about

We have completed our move! We are very proud to announce our new location at the Palisades Corporate Center just a few yards north of Interstate 285 on Peachtree Dunwoody Road. Our new office has been customized to offer you a beautiful and peaceful environment where we care for your dental health while you relax. Click here to see a map.

Chew on this - Did you know that Dr. Hargrove uses the latest technology available? A few examples are: Digital X-rays with lower levels of radiation, lower costs, cleaner environment, clearer pictures and truer colors; Dental Laser for periodontal therapy reduces post treatment discomfort; The Zoom! cylindrical whitening lamp can whiten your teeth up to 12 shades lighter in about an hour; Criticare Pulse Oximeter and blood pressure monitoring system for continuous monitoring of heart stress; and AED (automatic external defibrillator) system, which represents the greatest innovation in recitative science since the initial use of CPR.

You are pampered at Dunwoody Dental Spa - Dr. Hargrove and his staff offer many soft touches to your visit, greeting you with a gourmet coffee and refreshments bar, caring for your comfort during your stay by having orthopedic chairs and pillows, hand wax therapy treatments, I-Pods for every patient, as well as Olympus movie goggles in conjunction with Bose Noise Reduction head phones. At Dunwoody Dental Spa you can enjoy our high end plasma screen and the sounds of a slate wall waterfall, while we care for all your dental health needs with a personal touch!

How serious is morning breath? Waking up with a bad taste and smell in your mouth doesn't necessarily mean you have a chronic malodor problem. Morning breath is temporary and disappears after breakfast and a thorough toothbrushing. What causes it? As the body runs out of carbohydrate food sources overnight, it obtains energy through the breakdown of proteins, which attract mouth bacteria. Making matters worse, saliva slows to a halt when we're asleep; plus, the jaws and mouth muscles stay pretty much put, leaving leftover food debris to molder and attract bacteria. (No matter how well you brush, some food morsels always remain between the teeth). Beautiful Teeth, Premiere Issue/Summer 2003 p.44.

Kissing is good for your teeth. By stimulating the saliva flow that neutralizes the acid produced by oral bacteria, it helps reduce the incidence of cavities. Beautiful Teeth, Premiere Issue/Summer 2003 p.44.
