Dr. Hargrove's Community Outreach - Dr. Hargrove reaches out well beyond Atlanta to serve Millions of people in need. He founded World Dental Outreach, Inc., a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization approximately six years ago. Through this organization Dr. Hargrove helps projects around the world bring dentistry to millions of people who have never seen a dentist before in their life. He volunteers many hours each week to operations for World Dental Outreach. Many of the countries are extremely poor and don't have trained dental personnel available. Through volunteers and donations from WDO Dr. Hargrove is able to build permanent clinics and staff them with volunteers in communities that have never had a dentist within thousands of miles. These clinics are free clinics staffed by the generosity of volunteers with supplies and equipment donated graciously by manufacturers to WDO. Dr. Hargrove currently serves as the Executive Director and President of WDO, which to date has donated more than two million dollars in equipment and supplies to help the less fortunate.

We are constantly improving our skills and expanding our knowledge. Dr. Hargrove has recently finished a continuum at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. The Pankey Institute offers the highest level of postgraduate dental education for dentists. Its courses of study are recognized by leading dental associates, from all over the world, who want to provide their patients with top-quality, personalized care.
Dr. Hargrove has published several articles in leading journals on the use of soft tissue lasers. He helps to educate dentists on how to implement the advancements of laser technology into their practices. Dr. Hargrove received his laser training at University of California, San Francisco, and The Center for Dental Laser Education.
In addition to laser training, Dr. Hargrove has had many hours of training in the placement and restoration of dental implants. He received his training from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the Medical College of Georgia.

Did you know?
Dentists in the State of Georgia are required to maintain 20 hours of continuing education a year. Dr. Hargrove receives between 300 and 400 hours a year. He believes this is what it takes to stay abreast of the newest and most advanced procedures.
